2017 Host Saskatchewan Conference a success

The 2017 HOST Saskatchewan Conference was held on April 5-6 in Saskatoon at the Sheraton Cavalier Saskatoon Hotel. A value-packed schedule of educational and networking sessions was provided to delegates.

Darrell Bricker, CEO of IPSOS Public Affairs, was a keynote speaker. As an executive at one of the world’s leading market research firms, Bricker has his finger firmly on the pulse of public opinion, allowing him to provide an unparalleled perspective on trends affecting business and the economy. 

A highlight of the HOST Saskatchewan Conference was the 28th annual Saskatchewan Tourism Awards of Excellence Gala, held on the opening night of the assembly. Click here to view the names of the winners of this year's awards.

Other highlights of the conference included a presentation from Jon Mamela, Senior Vice-President Marketing Strategy/Chief Marketing Officer with Destination Canada. Kathy Wagner from Content Strategy, Inc. provided an enlightening look at how tourism operators can better target their content to their customers. Chris Hughes with BC Hughes discussed experiential tourism and the Into Left Field initiative.
